Woodsmen of the World Life Insurance Society installed a flag pole at the Centre Street Playground with a plaque reading:    "In honor and remembrance of the heroes and victims of September 11, 2001 and to celebrate the enduring spirit of all Americans."   The flag was scheduled to be raised on Wednesday, September 11, 2002, at 4:30 PM for the one-year memorial.
